National Recovery Month

The ongoing pandemic has been a particularly challenging time for those struggling with addiction. Reaching out for help is the first and most important step in recovery.

September is National Recovery Month, in which we celebrate the efforts of those who have been in recovery or are currently in recovery. The theme of this year’s recovery month is “Recovery is For Everyone: Every Person, Every Family, Every Community.” This is an important reminder to those in recovery (and those who support them—from family members and friends to sponsors and mental health professionals) that we are not alone in the recovery journey. Though everyone’s path is different, we are all connected in helping each other.

If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction—whether it’s drugs, alcohol, gambling, sex, food, shopping, pornography, gaming or other—Insights is here to help. And for those of you who have made gains in recovery, we celebrate you this month and every month.
